As your furry friend will be sharing our home and enjoying adventures and the company of other dogs they will need to fit the following requirements;
nice natured & gets on well with other dogs, big & small
good basic training e.g. walks calmly on a lead & has good recall
good basic manners e.g. quiet, house trained and used to living & sleeping inside without damaging anything (e.g. chewing, scratching doors)
wormed, flea, parasite free & up to date with their vaccinations
Males preferably neutered, females must be spayed
for the safety of all our guests, dogs with contagious diseases within the last 30 days will need a certificate of clearance from your vet before they can stay
Exclusions;
puppies < 1 year old (exceptions can be made for housetrained, calm puppies)
high energy dogs, e.g. Border Collies & Huntaways as we are not equipped to provide high levels of constant stimulation or physical activities, (if your dog is one of these “high energy” breeds but is an exception to the rule we are of course happy to have them)
no barking (minimal ok e.g. when someone is at the gate)
we are fully fenced for a residential property but our property is not suited to any escape artists sorry!

Please bring plenty of your dog’s normal food to last the duration of their stay.
We like to keep everyone on the food they are used to, minimising the chance of an upset tummy from new foods, (we give everyone a treat for pudding, feel free to bring your own if your dog has a favourite!).
We supply clean bedding & bowls, you are welcome to bring yours if preferred.
-
If your dog’s medical condition is able to be managed safely at home by us they are welcome to stay.
We have a certified vet nurse on site and are happy to administer any medications needed.
Dogs requiring special care due to a medical condition may incur a surcharge if they have much higher needs than usual, however we can discuss this in advance.
We are unable to provide effective home support for some conditions but this can be discussed by a case by case basis.
-
We try our very hardest to keep everyone safe and healthy while in our care but sometimes accidents can happen or your dog could fall ill.
If it is just a scratch that can be treated at home we provide basic veterinary care by a certified vet nurse, however in the unfortunate incidence that your dog needs to go the vet this will be at the owners expense as will any after care that is needed.
In this instance we will try to contact you or your emergency contact as soon as possible.
We will try to use the vet you have supplied on your intake form, however if they are not available we will use a vet at our discretion.
Please arrange with your vet for them to provide emergency care if necessary on your account while you are away if you are unable to pay at the time.
-
Times for drop off & pick up are made by prior arrangement and are to be between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm.
Most dogs are tired by this stage and want their dinner and bed (especially Kai!) so it is important these times are respected.
-
Full payment is due at the time of booking.
Overnight boarding is for a 24 Hour period from drop off. This means that your pre arranged drop off time is also your pick up time on the day your dog goes home,
e.g. drop off at 10am on day 1
pick up at 10am on day 2
If they stay longer than this period on the final day, a daycare rate is charged for the final day.
e.g. drop off at 10 am on day 1
pick up at 4pm on day 2
= overnight rate for day 1 + daycare rate for day 2.
-
As our numbers are limited we do not offer discounts for the first 2 weeks of your dogs stay.
After this initial period a 10% discount on their remaining stay is offered.
-
Due to the limited spaces available all deposits are non refundable & non transferable as follows;

As we only take a few dogs at a time, animals in our care receive large amounts of personalised attention & care as well as adventures to the park or beach.
As well as physical & emotional support one of the benefits of home based care is they are still following “house routines” and so having their training developed & reinforced, such as politely waiting for their meal and walking nicely on a lead in company.
Not only does this take thought and care, it also takes a lot of time, training & supervision for each and every dog in our care.
This is very different from a kennel environment where dogs are generally left on mass to their own devices & caged/fenced in noisy facilities with other overly excited & stressed dogs that have been removed from their home environment.
